Vyacheslav Kuritsyn

Vyacheslav Kuritsyn was born 1965 in Novosibirsk. He worked as a literary reviewer and journalist for many publications. Over the years, he was editor-in-chief of several literary magazines. He created literary websites, organized humanitarian conferences (jointly with the Ural State University) and curated art exhibitions, including the largest exhibition of Russian contemporary art, "Davai" (Berlin-Vienna, 2001-2002). He is also founder and host of the Russian Poetry Slam (in Moscow and St. Petersburg since 2001). He founderd and co-owned of the St. Petersburg musical and literary club "Platforma". He edited an anthology of St. Petersburg poetry and hosted a television program. Over the years, he was a member of the Pen Center, the Media Union, and the Academy of Contemporary Russian Literature; he has left these organizations. He is a laureate of the Andrei Bely Prize.
